What we collect
From the research enquiry form: your name, your email address, your organisation, a short description of what you are building, and your message. Nothing else is required and there are no optional extras.
The form carries one hidden field that should stay empty. It exists to catch automated submissions and holds no information about you.
Serving this site involves the technical data any web request carries, including your IP address and browser user agent. Our host processes that to serve the page, to run the code that receives the form, and to keep short-lived operational logs of requests.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses no analytics, no advertising technology, and no cookies. No third-party tracking scripts are loaded.
The only thing kept in your browser is whether you chose the light or dark theme. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Why we use it, and on what basis
To read your enquiry, reply to it, and continue the conversation you started. SecureAgent is a research concept rather than a product, so what you tell us also informs our market research into whether the problem is worth solving.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR: responding to a business enquiry you chose to send, and researching whether to build something. We consider that proportionate because you contacted us, the data is limited to what you typed, and we use it to reply rather than to market to you.
You can object to this at any time and we will stop unless we have compelling grounds to continue.
We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not send marketing on the strength of an enquiry, and we do not sell or share your details for advertising.
Who processes it
Inside Demerzel Solutions Limited, the people working on this research and the colleagues they need to involve in order to answer you.
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this site and runs the code that receives the form. Resend delivers your message to our mailbox as email. Both are United States companies, so your enquiry is processed outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal data leaves the UK we rely on the safeguards required by UK data protection law. Write to legalnotices@demerzel.co if you want details of the mechanism used.
We do not otherwise disclose your details, except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Your enquiry arrives as ordinary email in our mailbox. We keep it for as long as reasonably necessary to answer you, to continue the conversation, and to complete the market research it informs, together with any period we are required to keep records for legal, regulatory or accounting purposes.
In deciding how long that is, we consider how much data there is, how sensitive it is, the risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, the purpose we are using it for, and whether we could achieve that purpose another way.
You can ask us at legalnotices@demerzel.co what we hold about you, and we will delete it on request.
Automated decision-making
We do not make any automated decisions about you and we do not profile you. Every enquiry is read by a person.
Your rights
Under data protection law you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on legitimate interests you can object at any time.
To exercise any of these, email legalnotices@demerzel.co. There is no fee, although we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse if a request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. We may ask you for information to confirm your identity.
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month, and will tell you if a complex request will take longer.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
